Day 3

Hello,

Yesterday was the most interesting day so far. To start off the day I had Vietnamese Business class. We learned about the tax systems of Vietnam. After business class, I had Vietnamese language class. Vietnamese is very difficult to speak because of all of the different tones of voice. Every tone means something different and it gets very confusing. Even the alphabet is difficult because of all the different sounds of the vowels. After class we had lunch at the Cafeteria. The Vietnamese food is very different than American food. It mostly consist of sea food and rice. There was also spicy chicken and ribs. The chicken and ribs were very good.

The highlight of my day though happened right after we ate at the Cafeteria. We fit 10 Americans and 1 Vietnamese person into an elevator and managed to fall 20 feet to th basement and get stuck because we exceeded the weight of the elevator. We were only stuck for 5 minutes thanks to the Vietnamese guy on the elevator with us. It was very interesting being stuck on an elevator. I cannot say it ever happened to me before.

After the elevator incident, we went to Glass Egg Digital Media. I was very interested in the cooperation because it dealt with video game graphics and the computers used were awesome. One of the people that talked to us went to the University of Pennsylvania and had both a business degree and electrical engineering degree. We took a tour of the company and it looked like the program they were using to make the graphics was autocad. The most popular game this company helped create was Forza Motor sports. They have never created a single game by themselves, but they do get a lot of work creating graphics for many games from Microsoft. Steve and Phil, the owners of Glass Egg recommended a club for us to go to that they invested money into. We decided to go check it out and it was really nice. We enjoyed being with each other at the club.
